On 9th Feb 2013 he came home to stay. She assaulted him and ordered him to go out as usual. When he did not listen to her she instructed the daughter Anmol Agarwal to lock the flat. She had already put a lock in the flat which could be operated from inside of flat only. The daughter locked the flat using the keys and had hidden the keys. Husband did not understand the trap.
Then suddenly she
started the drama of self-assault. She would hit herself and would make noises
as if she was being assaulted. The daughter assisted her in doing all this and
did drama of crying. Then they called the police while husband was still locked
in his own home. The higher police officers were already informed and perhaps influenced beforehand. She assaulted husband and tore his clothes. She even tried to bite
him from her teeth like an animal. Husband was able to record the incident. The
neighbors and several other people witnessed all that from the grill door of
the flat. The woman called her brother PrabhuShankar Agarwal who instantly sent
two representatives to take care of her
After some time the police came and took the husband to police station. The daughter Anmol Agarwal wrote a complaint letter on behalf of Manju which alleged that the husband tried to murder them both by pressing their necks and tried to outrage the modesty of his own daughter. Police did not listen to pleas of husband. Officers did not believe any recordings of the incident either. They were already instructed by higher officials to do an arrest and were predetermined to do so. They did not do any sort of investigations or examination of witness and slapped a charge of section 307 (attempt to murder) against the husband. Husband was arrested
Initially he was
allowed to sit on bench in the police station. Thereafter they put him inside
the lockup saying that they had instructions to do so. He was not even allowed to
consume any food at night. He could not sleep on the floor of small suffocated lockup
room in cold night without any blanket. There were lots of mosquitoes. In
morning also he was not allowed any food. In late morning he was roped in his
trunk like any other criminal along with other five under trials. A single rope
traversed six people including the husband and they were transferred to court.
This roping was also done on instruction of high police officials.
Prabhushankar Agarwal had strong links in police. Somehow the court realized
and gave bail to husband. Husband was in trauma for next two weeks.
